-- NOTICE --
The Town of Dayton will be performing a series of dye traces as part of a karst groundwater study to determine the recharge area for the town’s drinking water supply. The dyes to be used are harmless and are certified by the National Sanitation Foundation for use in public drinking water supplies. Only small quantities of dye will be introduced at several locations and monitored at various sites throughout the region. The traces will take place during the summer and early fall, 2011. Some dye may be visible in water from springs and wells in and around Dayton. While the dyes are harmless, in the event you notice any coloration in your well water, please contact the Town of Dayton at 540-879-2241.
Town of Dayton residents, instead of tossing your used inkjet or toner print cartridges in the trash, bring them by the Dayton Town Office to be recycled.
In addition to helping to protect our environment, the Town can earn coupons toward the cost of municipal office supplies.
