Joint Public Hearings & Regular June Council Meeting

There will be three joint public hearings with Planning Commission and Town Council on June 10, 2024 beginning at 5:30 pm to be held consecutively in the council chambers at Town Hall. 

The three public hearings are for: 

(SUP 2024-02)The first joint public hearing will be for the consideration of a Special Use Permit from Histand Services, LLC. The SUP is to allow for the use of electrical and plumbing services and warehousing. The property is addressed as 3101 John Wayland Hwy and is identified as tax map parcel 123-A-22.

(SUP 2024-03) The second joint public hearing is for the consideration of a Special Use Permit from Virginia Quilt Museum. The SUP is to allow for the use of a museum/cultural center. The property is addressed as 2328 Silver Lake Rd and is identified as tax map parcel 107-A-125A.

(SUP 2024-01)The third joint public hearing is to amend an existing Special Use Permit (SUP) from Black Brother’s Painting, LLC. The proposed amendment would alter the buffer requirement to allow for a less dense buffer. Additionally, an amendment to the proffers associated with the property will be considered to lower the amount of stone coverage required from 75% to 60%. The property is identified as tax map 107D1-15-1A.

The regular June Council Meeting will follow, beginning at 6:00 pm on June 10 in the council chambers at Town Hall.
