Community & Economic Development

The Community & Economic Development Department provides professional advice and technical expertise to the Town Manager, Town Council and its commissions, residents, the business community and the general public on current land use and development issues.

The Department assists in guiding development and redevelopment efforts in the community, seeking to maintain the unique small town character of Dayton. Additional areas of responsibility include enforcement of the Zoning Ordinance, coordination and review of development plans, and the enforcement of various property maintenance regulations within the Town of Dayton.

The Department also serves the business community of Dayton with education programs, grants, and promotion. This office strives to build relationships to foster positive experiences in the Town of Dayton and help achieve economic prosperity for the entire community.
