Civil War Trails

There are three Civil War Trails sign locations in Dayton that highlighint events from the Civil War. These are located at: 

Daniel Bowman Mill at Silver Lake

Marker is at the intersection of Silver Lake Road (County Route 701) and Linhoss Road, on the left when traveling north on Silver Lake Road. 

Dayton - Dark Days in the Burnt District

Marker is on John Wayland Highway (Route 42), on the left when traveling north.

Death of Lt. Meigs (Currently unavailable due to construction.)

Marker is on Meigs Lane, 0.1 miles east of John Wayland Highway (Virginia Route 42), on the left when traveling east.
